Concerts
Occasionally rock and pop bands perform in San José and now-and-then classical concerts are given. For more detailed information take a look in the daily newspapers under calendar of events.
Theater
The center for theatrical events is San José . Besides the two large theatres (Teatro Melico Salazar and Teatro Nacional) there are numerous small stages, which are all situated in the direct vicinity of the national museum.
Casino
Most hotels in San José offer access to their casinos also to non-hotel guests. Normally, there are not any clothing regulations.

Night Life
There are a lot of bars, discos and several night-clubs in Costa Rica . Happy hour is between 6 and 7 p.m., drinks are offered at reduced prices.
