GENERAL RULES OF VISAS FOR NO RESIDENTS |
I GROUP
The citizens of the follow countries may come to Costa Rica without visa and with a maxima permanence of up to 90 natural days, because there are some Agreements, International Convenants or Exchange Notes.

NOTE 1 : The citizens of countries of the fourth group that have permanent resident status or temporary permission with a noninferior use to six months in countries of the first group, they ask for a CONSULAR VISA to come to Costa Rica, but Ir an, Irak, Palestinan Territory, Jordan, Libya ( Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamhiriya), Lebanon, Syrian Arab Republic, People`s Republic of China, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan and Algeria, IN ALL THE CASES MUST ASK FOR AN AUTHORIZED VISA by the General Director of Migration and Alienage, independently if they live in a country of the first group.
NOTE 2: CITIZENS OF HONG KONG . Carries of british passport to citizens: British National Overseas/BN DON'T NEED VISA to come to Costa Rica and they may stay by 90 natural days
